Summer 2021 Exam Certificates & Art Collection
GCSE and A ‘Level certificates are now available to collect from main school reception.
Opening hours are 9.00am-3.30pm.
Students must also bring ID when collecting certificates. Please ensure students collect their certificates promptly as the school is only required to retain these for one year, and they can then be destroyed.
Certificates cannot be released to anyone other than the student, unless they give their written consent to a named person who must provide this consent and evidence of their own ID. Students must store their certificates safely as they may be required to produce them in the future for job or education applications.
Exam Boards will not provide replacement certificates, only a Certified Statement of Results, at a cost of £43 per Board.
Downend School Art Department have arranged a series of opportunities for former GCSE and A level students to pick up their art folders.
To comply with covid safe guidelines these ‘drop-ins’ will be after school where art work will be available to pick up from the school hall. Please note work is often difficult to carry for any distance and may be mounted on large sheets (A1 size). The name of each student will be clearly visible allowing each person to pick up their own work (or a designated person) and directly leave the site. Masks must also be worn inside the building. The collection will be 3.15pm to 5.15pm on Mon 29th & Tues 30th November.
As you can imagine, whilst we cherish all the artwork students produce, it is impossible to keep work indefinitely. Any work not collected by the 17th of December will be cleared to make room for the new cohort. If you have any queries regarding your artwork you can directly contact Nick Smith from Downend Art Department: firstname.lastname@example.org or the main school reception.
